Okay, for some of you I know it’s a hard pill to swallow, but Walt Disney was a supafreak evil fricking genius bent on making all of us feel bad for inanimate objects. He loved it! He loved to hurt us!
We all know he couldn’t wait for us to hope that Mickey Mouse would save the day, Donald Duck would keep his temper or Goofy Dog would be able to find the doorknob to get out of the house in the morning. Obviously, Walt thought making us feel human feelings for cartoon animals was funny. But what some people may not be aware of, is that he did the exact same thing to many of us – with non living objects.
Yes there are those of us in the world who want a little blue car to have a loving owner so it won’t be lonely and forgotten, and those of us who have no problem accepting the idea of walking broomsticks. But no evil trickery was ever so mean and cruel ad Love Story, the story of Johnny Fedora and Alice Blue Bonnet‘s star crossed love in the ‘window of a department store’ as sung by the Andrews Sisters.
Here’s a little something to make you feel awful for all of your hats:
A Love Story (The original version)
