I stumbled across a video, and ultimately a website, that piqued my interest today. I think the title of this blog post is misleading, because Fat Bettie can’t be summed up as Rockabilly and it’s not quite Goth. It’s a little retro, a little vintage, very modern and just gorgeous. She’s even coined the term “Goddess Sized” for us morbidly oblique (snicker) ladies.
The girl who made this video also runs a webstore called Fat Bettie Clothing “For The Goddess In You” where you can buy the garments modeled in the clips. It’s not my style, and it’s not really repro (if anything it’s more modern) but it was so cute I had to give it a shout out:
