My name is Faith, I’m a 31 year old web developer, graphic designer and part-time talent scout who has a deep love of old movies and music, and is an all around vintage enthusiast.
Victory Girl is my foray into the vintage lifestyle. I’ve been vintage girl at heart my entire life, but I didn’t commit to it until late 2008. Thanks to the internet I’ve learned to cut my own hair (no stylist wants to even try a Middy), pin curl, style and ornament my hair. I’m learning to sew my own clothes, put on somewhat authentic-ish makeup and other such fun things.
On this blog I’ll not only be reviewing films, television and music of a bygone era and it’s retro counterpart, but I’ll also try to make the most out of this diary to chronicle my trials, errors and success on everything from re-learning the Lindy Hop to cooking with rations. Is it frivolous? Maybe. Weird? Probably. Am I wasting my time? I don’t think so.
